Overview
As an excellent introduction to practical turning, this course provides instruction in safety, use of drawings and measuring equipment, feeds and speeds, tool and work piece setting and a range of turning operations. Instruction takes place both in the classroom and in SETA’s fully equipped workshop.
Participants
This course is ideally suited to those with little or no previous turning experience.

- Turning operations: - facing; turning diameters; centre drilling; taper turning (using compound slide method); producing threads. Use of 3 and 4-jaw chucks
