An excellent introduction to practical milling, this course provides instruction in safety, use of drawings and measuring equipment, work-holding, tool setting and a range of milling operations. Instruction takes place both in the classroom and in SETA’s fully equipped workshop.

Participants

This course is ideally suited to those with little or no previous milling experience.

  • Turning operations: - milling faces; milling step faces; open and closed slots; vees and angles
  • Faults recognition: - guidance on milling faults and means of avoiding them
